Sheriff Paul Rexford is pleased to announce the promotion of Lieutenant Derek Inman to Captain overseeing the Special Enforcement Bureau. In Captain Inman's new role, he will manage the highly trained Special Enforcement Bureau and ensure its effective operations.
Captain Inman began his career in 1987 as a deputy sheriff with the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department. His first assignment was at Inmate Reception Center where he served for two years before his reassignment to Angel Pine station's Gang Enforcement Team. In 2000, Inman was assigned to the East Los Santos Station, promoting to Sergeant and working as a field sergeant there. In 2004, Inman has advanced to a position of Team Assistant Squad Leader in Special Weapons Team.
On April 26, 2013, Inman led a joint training with 10 operators for Special Enforcement Bureau with Thailand's Police Department in Thailand. In December, same year, Captain Inman advanced to the Special Enforcement Bureau Command. He promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2015 and worked as East Los Santos station Watch Commander for the day shift. A few months later, Inman became Assistant Commander of the Special Weapons Team.
Captain Inman graduated from Lincoln High School in Los Santos, San Andreas. Captain Inman holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from San Poly Pomona University, a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from University of Los Santos, and an Associate of Arts Degree in Administration of Justice from San Fierro College.
Captain Inman lives in Angel Pine with his wife and his two children.
